Breeding Kingsnakes, experiences? Options

I've been thinking of breeding my Female California king snake , she is about 3 Years old and 4 .5 feet long.
Finding a similar mate for her might be hard... Anyone here have any experience breeding snakes ? and Kings snakes eat each other soo... I dont know.. lol

I have bred colubrids and have friends that have bred kingsnakes. It's best to have a larger female, but not so large that she will eat the male. Also, you have to watch them carefully, if I remember right. I think you also do best if you brumate them over the winter (something I found to be a pain, except the fact that you don't have to worry about cleaning or feeding your snakes for months!). Egg incubation is something you want to be prepared for too, that's where I fell short (and others here should be able to pick up the slack and help you there).

one interesting thing that you also need to watch for when breeding kingsnakes is that they have a knack for eating their own eggs, so make sure to remove the eggs from the female as soon as possible. i have a friend who recently bred kingsnakes and caught it right as it was getting its mouth around one of the eggs.
